I first came across Cinnayum back in 2005, when she was still 035 on Livejournal. Her layout was so aesthetically pleasing, simple and light; her dreamy polaroids took center stage in all her posts. She posted about ‘sleepy mornings’, Japanese folktronica and all these books she’d been reading. Mari seemed incredibly genuine; she has this tiger lilyness about her and her journal reminds me of summer.
At the risk of being a creeper I added her to my Livejournal friend’s list so I could keep up with all her updates. She inspired me to start the 50 Books Challenge, introduced me to Shelfari and Robo.to. It was because of her beautiful polaroids that I dragged a friend with me in the heat of the Hong Kong summer on my quest for the perfect vintage polaroid. And I found it!
Five years later she’s opened up a blogspot account, though she still updates her Livejournal as well. So if you want some beautiful inspiration this Sunday, find her here:
What bloggers have you been following the longest? How have they inspired you?

I may very well be obsessed with The Selby and often fantasize about what it would be like to live in a little loft in New York, with a brickwalled living space, high ceilings and windows and a fire escape. There is some serious eye candy over there, a lot of mismatched and quirky homes — pictures of which reside in my inspiration folder.
But when it comes to home decor and ideas, my inspiration mainly wells from these little gems:
- Design*Sponge
The ultimate classic! Home decor ideas, sneak peeks, before & afters, city guides…Design*Sponge has everything. Not to mention their great Biz Ladies series! Definitely worth a look if you’ve never been around ;)
- Desire to Inspire
Kim and Jo have never met but there is a bond between them that is so strong that it can cross half the world and back again. You see Kim and Jo are interior design junkies. They go weak at the knees when they find that perfect room and they just have to share. It all started towards the end of 2006. They met on Flickr, shared images they had bookmarked and well that was that. Desire to Inspire was born.
Stunning and dreamy interiors for everyone! Mid-century, modern, ethnic, eco-design, DIY’s and so many more (my favorites to see are usually Scandinavian and anything workspace related! I’m a big nerd at heart, didn’t you know!)
- Coco+Kelley
Exploring trends in tabletop, fashion, decor and color, the blog quickly grew and began receiving praise from national magazine editors and loyal readers who described the content as chic, charming, and original. After several readers approached her to design their own homes and weddings, Cassandra seized the opportunity and officially opened coco+kelley as a styling company in her hometown of Seattle, Wash.
Coco+Kelley is literally an aesthetic feast, you’ll find your Inspiration folder bursting at the seams from all the lovely little gems you’ll be collecting from here!
- Sfgirlbybay
sfgirlbybay is a san francisco based blogger, hopeful photographer, design junkie and bonafide flea market queen. victoria smith is editor/writer of sfgirlbybay, one of the West Coast’s leading interior design blogs, featuring new product reviews, shopping tips, including art, photography and design resources, as well as home entertaining and lifestyle stories, with a loyal fan base and readers that include top magazine and newspaper editors, shoppers, and industry professionals.
Need I say more? Another classic, in my opinion. Click Click!

Le Love has been around for quite a while now, and when I first stumbled upon it a year ago, I thought it was the cutest thing ever. I also wondered why I (or anyone, for that matter) hadn’t come up with something like that sooner — a blog dedicated to love images and stories. Boyfriends, girlfriends, friends, long distance, unrequited love, self love. It’s all in there, and I…love it!
It might seem mushy and cliched, but Le Love is more a weekend visit; a surge of lovely inspiration that may make you want to get the courage to talk to someone, or to tell them how much they mean to you, or drag them outside to take your own photo. It can’t not produce happiness, or a little fuzzy feeling, in my eyes at least!

What do you think of Le Love? Cute? …Sickeningly cute?
