Krisatomic
Krisatomic’s illustrations have captivated me ever since I saw her around Livejournal, way back when. Her quirky long necked girls in cute dresses and accessories are her signature, and every time I see one I just want to buy a print and frame it! She is one of my favorite artists and it all makes me want to start drawing again. Some of my favorites:
Her sketchbook is girly and so full of whimsy, her photographs elegant and crisp; I am definitely jealous of her abilities! This Lazy Sunday browse through her creations for instant inspiration at Krisatomic.com!

This Week

This week has been hectic! I’ve been getting to class for 9h every day, getting home at about 16h. Yesterday was my record though, and I got home at 22h after a long afternoon of Statistics — y i k e s! The weekend will be perfect for unblocking my mind. Some goodies to keep you busy:
- 2010 is the year of prints! From yesterday: How To Wear Prints
- Feel As Special As You Are; I mean it!
- MLIA: too cute!
- Ashe Mischief: Jealousy’s a Green Eye’d Bitch
- Why don’t you… from Cafe Fashionista is pure love!
- Madrid guide from Design*Sponge! Loved all of it; bookmark it for when you come visit ;)
- Love letter to Walgreens from Daddy Likey, he he! I completely agree — drugstores are no secret OR guilty pleasures of mine.
- Spring Candy on Luphia Loves = pastel eyecandy.
- I’ve been watching the Winter Olympics, and definitely my all-time favorite is always figure skating. Check out the drama, funniest faces and awkward poses on Jezebel!
- From fashion week to work week — at WorkChic!
- I Just Made Love via Gala. Interesting concept, I wonder how it’ll be taken across the net.
Wear your seatbelts everyone ♥
Happy Weekend!

How To Wear Prints
Not only is it the Chinese Year of the Tiger, it is also the year of prints! Animal prints, floral patterns and geometric shapes will define S/S10. Excited? Prints are nothing new, however, and we all know there is a fine line between sex kitten and…tacky. So if trends are your thing, read on before you stock up on this one!
The Golden Rule: less is more
- An entire leopard print outfit is overkill. I don’t think I need to elaborate on this!
- Stick to one print and keep the rest of the outfit plain so that the piece stands out.
Start small
- If you’re not sure about the whole leopard or zebra thing, try going for accessories first. I’m obsessed with scarves and cardigans right now, and those are always safe options to start with! Bags and belts can be cute as well, but watch out for cheap looking ones.
- Find a cute wallet in a floral pattern, a head band, or go for some tights! I love floral pattern tights but unfortunately doubt I could pull them off. Trying couldn’t hurt anyone though, right?
- Bold square bangles or triangle necklaces (extra points if they’re wooden!) can help pull the earthy-Tiger Lily look together.
Flatter your shape
- Choose prints that are moderate in size (particularly in the floral department); not too big or too small, as these will end up making you look bigger than you actually are.
What do you guys think? Will prints be making their way into your closet?

Lemon Soda Relaunch!

Hi lovelies! It’s been two busy days, but Lemon Soda has finally been made over! More magical, purple (important) and hopefully navigable for everyone. I’m super excited about new projects I’ll be working on as well :3 How’s the week been going for everyone? Closer to Friday! So far I’m loving:
- My Social Psychology book because it’s beautifully explained.
- My Social Psychology professor — she reminds me of a less exaggerated version of Sybill Trelawny from Harry Potter. Always fun!
- Mint green. New nailpolish and cardigan to celebrate :3
- My new Eye Bright from Benefit. I just line my bottom lash line and instantly it looks like I’ve slept 4 hours more than I actually have.
- Taking a nap as soon as I get home (PJ’s and everything.)
- Planning a sushi date with friends for next week. Unfortunately it is way, way more expensive here than it is in Beijing and Hong Kong, but at least it gives us a good excuse to dress up.
- Planning Tom’s trip to Madrid — now that the touristy part was done with on his first visit, it’s time to get to the good stuff!
I hope everyone has been doing great, tell me things!
